Sometimes I get really amazed about what people on Worth1000 can make. Especially the winning entries in the contest Plantimal:

http://www.worth1000.com/cache/contest/contestcache.asp?contest_id=6264&display=photoshop

People here are great choppers, but when I look at these entries I feel numb Shocked

Yeah. I didn't come with something special in this one . I like to participate in worth1000 too, sometimes they come with awesome tasks. I like the one about Levitation - I sure will not miss next about it.

Some very good chopping there- I'm a little
confused by it though--
what with W1K being anti cliche
and nearly every image there is something I've seen before.
I'm not dissing, I'm just sayin'
The "Bleeding heart flamingos"
were a stolen idea from this site.
Do YOU remember who originally posted it?

Not only that but... some of those modded animal images are more than just a little... *dare I even whisper it?* FARK-style/SA-style!

(Although a zillion times better in the quality of the PS work of course!)

In the entire timeline of photo editing, hasn't everything been done already? For this reason I always look for the 'reality' of the image (ie; shadows, perspective, depth, etc.).

I think that's why artistically drawn pieces are so well received, because there is no denying the talent and effort used in those.
