thanks Bob,as for the shadow I did think about it but if you look at the rack the only shadow it casts is the part that is very near the ground,there is no shadow from the upper parts at all so I did the same for the bike,only the bike tire at the ground

your right the upper part of the rack has no discernible shadow at all. it's all too defused to see even if it's there.
