The Distant Smoke Contest seems to have reignited my interest in revisiting some classic Westerns.

Lee Van Cleef was always fun. Mel Brooks--hit and miss.

Lots of westerns bear watching again and again. Some of my favorites:

The Wild Bunch
True Grit (original and remake)
Villa Rides
Major Dundee
The Sons of Katie Elder
The Cowboys
The Searchers
McCabe and Mrs. Miller
Little Big Man
The Missing
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Unforgiven
