Thats true. Dems don't have much of a sense of humor either. Only the 3rd party supporters have a sense of humor. If they didn't, they'd be hopelessly depressed all the time.

In way of conclusion to this long winded rant, what has shocked me most of all the attacks is the attack on Palin for keeping her baby trig. Feminists talking about wanting the right to choose abortion is one thing, but attacking this woman because she wouldn't kill her baby with Down's Syndrome? That really mirrors what a sick state America is in now.

The right for abortion isn't something that only feminists are asking for. It is for every women. To keep a foetus and giving life or taking the decision to abort a Down's Syndrome baby are personal choices. On the 2 sides, it is stupid to disagree with the opposite opinion. But being politics leader and saying about abortion "I'd oppose even if my own daughter was raped" is weird and sick.

you can talk bolloxtics on Nov 5th and not before, strangely enough that's bonfire night over here, celebrating the Gunpowder Plot of the 5th of November 1605 in which a number of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London Smile

We've celebrated Guy Fawkes day a few times; mainly cause my dad is a historian.
It might look kinda weird to the neighbors who don't know about it though, with us throwing life sized effigies in a bonfire.

OK, a little political humor here,

Blonde beauty contestant is asked what was the historical implication of Wade versus Rowe. She ponders then answers "That the decision that George Washington had to make before he crossed the Delaware."

I saw this on cable last night, and not that it is news to me, but you should watch it, anyway, I just voted, and we had the same system that was used in this documentary... Confused also my precinct had 4 fucking voting booths, with a fairly long line outside, last election there was @ 20 booths with no line at all, so WTF?

OK... so the day is finally upon us all! I hope all of you (in the US) are all going, no matter your preference and exercising your right to vote. So with that in mind, I will give you something to smile about if you have to wait in one of those long lines.

So my four year old has known for about a week or two that he would be going with mommy to vote. He's been so excited, in fact so much so that he has been laying into his sister about the fact that he gets to go and she has to go to school. So the day finally arrives! He is overjoyed he gets to see Democracy in action!
(or so we thought)

They get ready to get in the car,
and my son asks while being buckled..
Boy: 'Mommy?"
Mom: "Yes honey"
Boy: "Don't we need to get our fishing poles?'
Mom: "Fishing poles?"
Boy: "Yes my Spider Man pole! We going boating, aren't we?!"

Gotta love the mind of a four year old!
Needless to say, he was not as amused as we were...
HAPPY BOATING EVERYONE!
