I couldn't find a thread to add this.

American Graphic Design Awards, sponsored by Adobe
http://www.gdusa.com/

go to subscriptions and you'll find you're entitled to a 1-year subscription ---- FOR FREE.

I got an issue in the mail yesterday. I didn't order it. Maybe NAPP gave them their mailing list.

The Nov/Dec issue is over 300 pp.

no...not fishy at all. Been getting it this whole year. It's a mix of Graphic Design and advertising for paper and print. It's a great magazine for getting inspired. Lot's of different design in it. Paid for by the advertisers.

I have been receiving this magazine Free for almost 5 years. They are very reputable and been around since the 1960's.

I actually came in first place for a catalog I designed in 2006 when I entered their American In-House Graphic Design Contest.

It contains a wealth of information for the Graphic Designer.

Holy cow...since the 60s, Jim? Well, congrats on winning in the Catalog section! Never seen it and thought I'd seen all the graphics rags about in the US.

My favorite will always be Communication Arts magazine. Unfortunately, it's not free and my current employer is cutting way back so my subscription went bye-bye.

and they're saved as psd, so you can mess with them some more in PS. Only drawback (on my puter) go out and run errands once you render it.

Pity it's only for those lowly 'Window's' users and not for us iMac PowerUsers! Laughing

Yah! No more prejudice! Perhaps the software people aren't intelligent enough to write it for Mac.
And please everyone else don't hate us Mac users because we have it so much easier. We do pity you for buying a PC, honest we do. There is a certain large percentage that must follow the crowd, swim with the waters flow.
But the few swim upstream, or fight through the crowd to get to eden (Mac world).

I step down and slide soap box away! Laughing Laughing Laughing
