I suppose I would have if I could have, but the photo was of a 3D object already bent into shape. It was pretty clear that it was cut from a flate plate though. So I basically had to figure out what it would look like in 2D (hence the hand drawing) and then skew onto the plate in perspective. It was a fairly time consuming chop.
