Laughing TJ, man...you just made my night. I can talk about music all night as if it were my job. I sometimes wonder why I stick around on a graphics site...which is obviously not my thing...and don't spend my free time on music discussion boards Laughing but what're ya gonna do...this place is too cool to leave.

If you want some stuff you probably haven't heard, but (imho) should hear, then I'll give you a few suggestions.

The first on the list (for me) is Paul Weller...absolute legend...but completely unheard of in North America Confused The guy's been rockin' out for 30 years and yet apart from my circle of friends I don't know anyone who knows the guy.

This one's mellow (and I know you love to rock)...but I love this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sYxVW1tFzk&feature=related

...and I have his haircut (and sideburns) Laughing

Next I would recommend The Coral. Great band from Liverpool (almost) who do the 60s really well but are a lot more than that...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyapFbvPJio&feature=channel

And I've posted this one before (maybe in the video thread...'cause it's my favourite video ever) but I love the song, video and band. They're Doves and are hugely underrated...not just in North America but everywhere. I can't get enough of this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZgBKVBduQg

Hopefully you like some of these enough to check out more of them...North American radio is so shit it's unbelievable. There's so much good music out there that never even gets mentioned here.

Scrump.

Very Happy

Sadly enough...most would probably have heard only one song of The Jam...I'm think'n http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3fDXsPE0Sc (?).....different direction from their earlier stuff but great nonetheless.

Yeah...mostly......though there is one exception... The Current http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/ ...I listen on a(n almost) daily basis ( and this is come'n from someone who hates what most radio has become)...and they play Doves and a bazzilion other great artists that you wont hear on most of the air waves in the US.....god that's really sad ainnit Sad....most radio here really does bite the big one....and HARD Evil or Very Mad .

I am confused to what that means.
It could mean mini-try, as in a pathetic attempt to listen to good music.
It could be french for something.
But, as usual, if I don't understand something, I just take it as a compliment.
So, thanks, I do have great taste in music.

Weller was The Jam and Style Council...maybe you know of them? Most of the songs from the same performance as that Brand New Start one above are on Youtube somewhere...really great performance Cool

Try these:

Oh...and the guy can rock too.

For someone else...do you know Richard Ashcroft at all? He was the singer in The Verve but has solo stuff as well. Not that similar to Weller but I find his music very uplifting (like Weller's).

Hope you hear something above you can dig.Very Happy

I am tuning into few internet radios to check out some great music. The biggest benefit of internet radios is that there is
a) No need to Download Software
b) 24-Hour Radio
c) Interesting sections for different types of music lovers such as
d) If you want you can install toolbar directly into the browser
