here are mine panasonic tz7 test , zoom 25 - 300 mm ; 12 optical zoom range and 4 X digital zoom so 48 x zoom , hd recording video, i am still fighting with this to uplade it to you tube, for me this is a fine camera the pixelation is not so good as the ixus 950 or 980, but the zoom is great, small, easy to handle camera, first pic is wide angle, seconde is zoom 12 optical and the 3th is digital zoom ps distance to door is about 40 meters = 1600 inch

Wow Ron! The 3x digital zoom on top of the 12x optical zoom is impressive. However, I was told by many friends who shoot, never to use any camera's digital zoom function. Its been many years since I was told this. Has new camera technology changed enough in recent years so as to now ignore this rule of shooting?

for home using this digital small camera is great, 200 grams, and everything on board i also was surpricesed about this digital zoom, ( see foto above)quality is realy great, vs the ixus the panasonic wins in pixelation in zoom range
