Can someone please help me figure out what is wrong with my text tool, I am trying to put some text into my project and everytime i write something it wont show, it saves it as a layer and shows the text written on the layer bar but not on the actual project, I have tried changing font size, color, style but still nothing, please help

ARE YOU HIGHLIGHTING THE TEXT BEFORE YOU CHANGE THE COLOR?

I had a similar problem a few days ago for some reason no matter how big I made the font or how long the sentence I could not see it finally I made a white background hid all layers on top of it except text I found it it was at the very bottom of canvas and looked like a dot I was able to free transform it to the size I wanted. I don't know what the deal was because after awhile font started working normal again.
