I noticed that the latest posted tutorial was posted in 2006. It just seems like a long time to me. I think in an effort to get some more content for the tutorials section, it would be cool to do a tutorial contest. I'm not sure what the prize would be, or if there would even be a prize, but it could help get some more tutorials posted. I was just wondering what you guys thought, and if you had any ideas.

Thanks.

I'm not asking anyone to do it for me. Sorry for "nagging." (Even though this is the first time I have brought this up.) I think photoshopcontest is a really cool site with REALLY talented members. I tried to propose an interesting way of getting more tutorials.

I just thought that since most of the other sections of the site are pretty active, why not try to get the tutorials page active too.

Also, if anybody has a tutorial that they would like made into a video tutorial, if you want to pm me with it, or post it here, I could put one together pretty quickly. I'll try and make a really simple example tutorial to show you what I mean.

EDIT: I just finished a very simple, sample tutorial. You can find it here: http://tutorme.homeip.net/tutorials/Tutorial4.swf

I'm sure almost everyone knows how to do what the tutorial shows, but it is meant to only be an example.

I have decided to make a site with tutorials on it if anybody is interested. It can be found at http://tutorme.homeip.net. It has already got about four video tutorials that I have made myself in the past day or so.

For some reason, the site won't show up if you type "www." in front.

Please let me know what you think.

(I'm still interested in getting more tutorials on this site.)

talking about tutorials i just made this for a simular forum, full of not very computer savy .ppl,
thought it might come in handy here,
OK here we go, i only use "PHOTOBUCKET" free, reliable and it's been around for years.
go to http://photobucket.com/ and open a free account, dont let them bully you into having a profesional account, no need, i have over 1,000 photos, videos and flash movies on my free account, once you have registered you will be take to a page like this one.

click on the browse button and a pop up window will open, navigate to the folder on your computer where you have stored the pictures, click on one picture per browser window, then click 'Upload' wait a second or two for the picture/pictures to upload.
scroll down and you'll see the thumbnails of your pictures, if it wont scroll down it's still uploading,

click on the thumbnail to open it in a bit of an editing suite you can resize or rotate the pix in here.
click on the second text box down and photobucket will copy the URL link to your paste board, come back to donny on line and open a 'post reply' box.

type your message and then on a new line click on the 'IMG' button i high lighted in yellow, you'll see the bit of code i high lighted in red, paste the URL link from photobucket then click the 'IMG' button again and you will see the closing image code i high lighted in blue, click submit. you are now a computer programer Smile

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
if you can see any mistakes (apart from my spelling) Smile please let me know here
