Cool subject Tofu, in a way we all try to beat this thing here at PSC everyday, it's all about fooling whoever is looking; I always wondered if there was a way of looking at the code in a dig. picture and seeing if there were any anomolies, I guess that answers my question. Wink

And, good spot Mason, when it comes to beer, you and bs are always on top of it. Razz

Coming to a bar near you, thank you Jim Koch Very Happy

I think it depends on how you use Photoshop. If a person wants to achieve an image that looks as close to reality as possible, sure. But i doubt that software can create artistic expressions based on feelings, ideas, etc, etc.Wink

The software doesn't do the creating. It does the analysis of what you created to tell if it's fake or not.

I read through a copy of the white papers on how it works. Pretty interesting stuff (major math heavy though). Remember that fakeorphoto.com thing from last year? They ran analysis on those pics. Some of the "photorealistic" images there actually passed inspection by the software. A few of those pics were obvious fakes to me. I think that a completely from scratch chop, or digital painting, would have a better chance of passing providing the lighting was good.

I just looked. FakeOrPhoto has new pics up! Very Happy

I scored 8 out of 10 on the first try 9 out of 10 on the second try. Then I had to see what the truth was. Laughing

The bonus round is all new images too.

Thats pretty cool... I got 9 for 10 on the first, and four out of four on the bonus.. That BMW one is amazing...
