My first win only had 16 votes and that was really exciting to get that many back then.

...and I remember back in the day when I paid only 15 cents for a vote. And that was alot of money back then, so we didn't take it for granted. Nowadays, you can't get good quality votes like you did back then! And $5.00 a vote, that's just highway robbery.

Yessiree bob, we appreciated every single vote we got. None of this complaining about votes and the like. Makes me sick, the way you younguns take your votes for granted. Discipline is what ya need, I tell ya! A good swat to the rump every now and then, that's what ya need!

Ahhh... the good ol' days, where have ya gone!

Wow. This took me on a slow lazy drive down Memory Lane.

My first win was a few years ago and it took a whopping 25 votes to get me in. I also garnnered 7 comments - mostly around explaining the Stephen King "Gunslinger" reference of my image concept.

This contest did have 43 entries in it - at that time a rather high showing up of the local choppers. I'm noticing that now we seem to average around 50 or so entries in a contest... but back then this was a fairly large batch of images to dig through and then vote on. (unlike the Eva Longoria contest back in December with 97 entries. See, back In The Day we didn't have any Hot Mama's to chop. Just old weathered window frames and shite! Wink )
