You can see, it's a Japanese video... for them "R" or "L" sounds enough similar. This is the Japanese accent! Laughing

Here, it's surely impossible to find or to listen that CD. I'll have to order it on internet...

Has anyone heard anything from Gene Loves Jezebel lately? a couple years ago they played at a local club, but I had to go to the Bahamas and missed it, I was quite bummed, they have some really good songs out, this video is a medley, it kind of blends together to sound like one long song, so that's not good, but overall it's not bad either.

I see no Jezebel fans Confused

I can't believe no Zeppelin's been mentioned in this thread yet, I guess it's never too late.
Of any Rock & Roll group ever in the history of all music, I would say Zeppelin has a timeless sound like no other, I know whenever I heard anything they've done, whether it was the first time hearing it, or the thousandth, it always sounds like right now, or new, fresh, whatever you want to call it, these guys nailed it when it comes to Rock & Roll

I was saying in another forum, that Jimmy Page Lives in Lauderdale now, my hometown, it would be cool to run into him sometime.

Thanks for the Dazed and Confussed vid. Paul,it's appreciated Very Happy. This is vintage stuff.Incredible.Believe it or not I saw Led Zeppelin in 1969 (same year as this video) at a club called The Rock Pile in Toronto (I was 16 then flol).I was privilaged to have seen some of the best bands of that time play there...from The Who through Ten Years After (Alvin Lee) to Frank Zappa and The Mother's of Invention, the list goes on and on.I practically lived there for 2 years. This brought back all those Daze.Led Zep I was my favotite album of theirs and this is an exceptional recording of one of the best songs on that album. Cheers
PS. ¿¿¿ Be-bop the Bell-hop,smokin' spiked Pall Mall's???...toooo much,it's hilarious!!! Laughing

I remember the day John Bonham died. Must be 25 or 6 years ago. I've seen Song Remains the Same at least 20 times at the midnight movies as a teenager. I've owned all of their music on vinyl, and a few on cd.

I stopped listening to them a long time ago.

The main reason is just being tired of hearing them. I was a baker in my late teens and early 20's. I worked from 11 till 7 in the morning, alone, except for the radio. Led Zeppelin isn't the only ones. Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendicks, Starship, Rush etc.

Radio just plain sucks anymore. The Music industry just plain sucks. I don't like the feeling that I'm a marketing demographic. I've got issues about some asshole in a suit deciding the album needs a few more 'ballads' to increase market share. I saw Metallica at Day on the Green in Oakland back in 85. Cliff Burton was still alive. Hetfield proudly announced that Metallica would never be on MTV wearing spandex. Cliff died and two years later, There they were, On MTV, Wearing spandex.

KUNV from UNLV had a show from 11 to 11 called rock avenue. They played Alice in Chains six months before commercial radio got a hold of it. They played L7, Nirvana, Soundgarden, ...You name it, If it was hardcore(at the time) they would play it. They were shut down by the FCC for way too many potty mouth violations. They now play jazz 24/7

Thank god for the internet! http://www.demonweb.org/radio/ Streams hardcore all day and night. At 128 bitrate, I've saved hours of music that would be expensive and hard to find by conventional means.

Got to Luuuuuuv Thin Lizzy!!
"She Knows" and "Fighting My Way Back" are a couple of my faves.
Phil Lynott's death was are real loss for the music world. I do love their early works ,but (and I'm sure some hardcore Lizzy fan would want to slam me for this) Thunder and Lightening has to be one of my favorite of their albums. It's just so hooky and bombastic at times. John Sykes was burnin the frets on that one Twisted Evil Gooood stuff

SLADE!.....nuf said on glam rock... I'd say:
dis one Rocks!
heh...Quiet Riot who?... Yuck
