I hope I'm not trampling some rule here, but I couldn't find anything against posting "want ads" -- I asked around in Chat, and folks suggested I post here and in "Ask The Experts".)

Greetings-

I am in need of a person who is skilled at manipulating photos.

I am working on a project to raise money for where I work: a maternity residence for pregnant teens that are either homeless or in foster care in New York. (www.inwoodhouse.com)

I'll be running the North Pole Marathon in 2007 to raise money, and am calling the campaign "America's Next Top Waddle." (a spoof on America's Next Top Model, get it?)

For this reason, I'm looking for someone to create the main image. I'd like it to be based on the image here: http://cwtv.com/page/topmodel_models.html

Only instead of models, I'd like penguins. (yes, I know there are no penguins in the North Pole, alas.)

The turnaround for this has to be rather quick (no more than a week) and the pay will be negotiated after we talk, and hopefully after I see some of your previous work that would be similar to this.

thanks! I really hope someone out there would have fun with this. I can be contacted at demarcom ([at]) verizon ([dot]) net.

absolutely! All the hot babes in the world should become penguins. It would make my life so much easier not to have to compete with "hot babes."

Are you an NPO?

Just the graphic... I'll can do the website since it's fairly simple, but the chopping is hard (for me, anyway.)

I'm not an NPO, but Inwood House most definitely is-- it's 175 year old NPO, in fact. No money goes through me, not even as a middleman. All payments/checks/credit cards get written to Inwood House, any PayPal funds go into their account, etc.

Therefore, no, I'm not an NPO-- I'm an individual running for an NPO. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks,
Marianne

Anyone got a good collection of clean penguins for this?
Are you expecting these penguins to be clothed or anything?
A good chair can be googled in seconds..
ya want a white chair on the ice? no?
anyone else playing this game? It's not a bad game.

OMG- that'd be great... I can hunt down as many penguins as I can. I have a bunch that are from the web (i.e. not hi-res, copyright unchecked). The clothing is totally up to the artist-- whatever you think it takes to make the penguins look like models. A white chair would be perfect. I'll post what stuff in a directory on my site just as soon as I can. (but these are probbly too lo-res for you... I just swiped them off the web.)

This would be... absolutely unbelievable if you were able to do this. I'm feeling warm and fuzzy over here....

You say you know there are no penguins in the north pole

Which is true but funnily when you mention pregnant penguin you really mean incubating penguin because they lay eggs so there are relativly few physical signs of pregnancy.

But hey money is money
