nice job on the metal reflections around the holes, and I like the wire sticking out. I think the red piece is unneccessary though... IMO this would look cleaner w/o it (looks a little flat, and seems to kind of be floating there)

Great! Best idea! Maybe the highlight on the right side of the red thing can be replace by a soft 3D broken edge effect, and maybe adding a soft red reflexion on the left on the metal to fit with the wire reflexion... nice holes, well done. :)

thats a great point by EJH actually Grampz, the thickness that a fire alarm of this style would have seems to have been lost by leaving the red bit, it looks as thin as paper almost, the viewer angle as this is, you would see the thickness...

to the right side of the remaining red, maybe remove it and the piece will look super great fantastic wow, or maybe add the thickness. just adding my 49 dollars 82 cents worth :D
