Freezing water, especially in a pool, will crack the sides of the pool. Although, I like the snowy idea. She's wearing sneakers, very slipperly on ice, and no footsteps are showing.

Julie, you need to understand that it isn't about realism, but about giving the illusion of realism. Sure - it would crack the pool, but there is not pool, no ice, no snow. It's imagination. And skill.

creatrix, are you the creator of this? Are you an alias of gbrmzrs? If not, then you have no right to say what their intentions were. You may interpret it one way, I did another way and don't appreciate you thoughts on what the author's thoughts are.

annajon, those are not ice skates. What are you trying to pull? I grew up in Michigan, I know what ice skates look like. Used them 9 months of the year!

I think the snow looks real. Looks like it just started to snow... and just starting to accumulate. Lack of footprints though, and sneakers on ice is very slipperly. Those are not ice skates no how no way.

And sometimes when it first starts to snow, with the wind, you'll have some accumulation of snow in places, some places will be bare where the wind swept it. I know snow. I grew up in Michigan. Winter Wonderland!
