no i didn't change the foreground colour,everything was kept as it was.thanks

While you're typing, if text is the same color as your background, hit crtl+A to select it and then press the two arrows to swap your foreground and background colors and you should see your text change colors.thanks

what 2 arrows a you talking of in photoshop 9.thanks

and i don't think it is the same colour as background, background is slightly grey and text is white. it appears as white on lcd but on my crt it appears grey

i guess its the first time you open photoshop, anyway click on the big T in the tool palette with your text layer selected, on top will appear a character tool bar, there's a colored box there, click on it and change the font color.

where is it and how does it look like, i'm using JASC PAINTSHOP PRO 9.sorry with confusion earlier, can't seem to locate it, can someone tell me how it looks like.thanks

I don't know jask, but just pick yer pencil or paintbrush tol and change it's color to the color ya want and then try the text and see if it is now that color.

the above link is different to jasc paintshop pro 9, and i still can't figure how to get black font in it. can someone please help me.thanks
