Don't worry, everything ya wanna learn will come to ya--there's no place like here for learnin'. Believe it or not..give it a chance.
I didn't know a stinking thing about choppin' when I came here.

i am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here i was trying to get in this image

http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/105039/even-hobbits-need-police.html?nocache=1

the hobbits to blend in more to the photo to make them look like they were meant to be there rather than chopped in

whats the best way to do this is it with levels or what as i am a newbie at photoshop and thought this would be a good place to see how and what other people do and can prduce with the program

Regards

PS i have photoshop cs2

whenever I chop something into and image I try to get the same lighting as what it's going into either with levels, brightness/contrast or something like that. Also run a slight blur around the edge of what your pasting in using a small soft brush to lose the cut look. One other thing is using your burn tool (check which setting will work best...hilite,mid or shadow) and shadow in some areas to give it depth. Hope that helps a little. All in all it's a good chop for being new to PS.
