simple solution...
make a new layer and erase the hair and redraw and/or use smudge tool to bring it back to where it should be...

Hi Sohiness! Smile

I'll try to post a good tut on your thread later tonight.
Not so simple... so I'll try to make it clear and comprehensible.
Most of tutorials on the web are crap... that's amazing!

Here's my tutorial:

Step 1: Erase all hair
Step 2: Put a helmet on her head

Done and done. Can a mod add this to the tutorial section of the site?

First i make the photo black and white in a new layer, by adjusting the colour bars in b&w option, till all the interest area become black-gray and the none interest white.
I select all the fixed b&w and choose "copy", then i make a mask window at a copy of the original photo. alt+left click on the mask channel, then paste and alt+left click again.
sorry about my english

You created a great image Sohiness. And when you extract the hair with Clafs new tutorial or the way you did it, you can work around your current problem by using colour directly on a copy of the hair you have extracted. If you look at the original image, you see that the hair colour is different at the ends. Try using the background and the red glow that you used in the background to light up the hair ends, they would pick up on that light as well if the picture was taken like that.

The photo in the link is a bit over the top back light, but it does show you how hair works in light.

I don't mind to be an idiot, as long as I can have fun.

Cringer already covered it, so he didn't have to bother.
